Kindle is unarguably the most versatile device. The reason for me to write it is simply because I have seen many devices, but nobody plays as many things as Kindle does. It is an e-reader, a tablet, a boredom-buster, and call it whatever you want. Kindle as a device is superb, but when it comes to kindle app, it is equally better or I would rather rate the app higher than the device. What Kindle app has done is, it has enabled non-Kindle users to take benefits of the world-class Kindle platform. Kindle app is available for iOS and Android, which means, people using iPhones and Android smartphones can access eBooks that Kindle has in the offering. This is a great move by the company to endorse its platform to those who know what it is but can’t spend money on the devices. With this app, people will get lured to kindle devices and would also probably buy those.
But, there has been a problem detected in Kindle for Android app, which we are going to discuss here in this blog post. There is no need to press the panic button, as the issue can be easily resolved. Kindle for Android app is displaying a message at the time of opening a book in the Kindle library that ‘invalid item’ kindly remove from your device & download again’. Some people have tried to update their app to the latest version, but they already had the latest version running on their Android phones. The safe option at this point of time would be to get in touch with Amazon Kindle Support, but I don’t think if that would help you in a way that it should because Amazon Kindle has already laid out the solution for this issue, which goes like this: deregister the device, uninstall the application, reinstall the application and finally, re-register the device. Well, the solution is simple, but can everyone do it? I guess not, and the reason I’m saying that is just because after deregistering and re-registering the device and the app, all the books will also have to be re-downloaded, which is a hard process. You can know more about it on www Kindle Com Support.
There is an alternative fix to this issue, which we’ll be discussing in this blog post. This solution is going to take a minute or so, thus making it easy and convenient for all the people who are suffering from this problem.
SOLUTION: Clear Kindle’s Cache
If you already know how to do it, then that’s great. If you don’t, then here is how you can do it without taking Kindle com support.
- Go to your smartphone’s settings followed by ‘application manager’.
- Under ‘download tab’, you have to find your ‘Kindle’ app.
- Inside the app info, you will see ‘clear cache’ option, which you have to select and with that, the process is completed.
This is definitely going to fix the problem, but in case, it doesn’t, then you can give a call at Kindle customer service number. They will definitely be able to help you in the best way. This problem is not just confined to Android phones, but Kindle Fire devices.
So, if you are facing the same problem in Kindle Fire tablet, then you can get Kindle Fire support to get rid of the issue. There is no need to worry, as this problem is just like any other problem, and therefore, it can be easily fixed as well.
